WATCH: Border collies keep Wisconsin beaches clean

By  |

MILWAUKEE (NBC) -- Wisconsin's Milwaukee County Parks Department added border collies to their roster in an effort to keep seagulls and geese off the county's beaches.

The dogs stalk the birds 30 hours a week.

Bird droppings are not just a nuisance, they can close down beaches.

This is because E. Coli and Salmonella can develop, causing lost revenue and disappointed faces.
