West Salem's Jack Gorniak named Wisconsin Mr. Hockey

MADISON, Wis. (WEAU) -- West Salem hockey's Jack Gorniak named Wisconsin Mr. Hockey.

The senior standout and future Wisconsin Badger takes home the award after posting 56 total points, 28 goals and 28 assists, while helping the West Salem Panthers to the state tournament. Gorniak had 7 game-winning goals in his senior campaign.

West Salem will take on Eau Claire Memorial in the state quarterfinals Thursday at 4:00pm at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.

Memorial goalie, Trevor Hudecek, was also a finalist for the award.
