UW-Eau Claire volleyball downs UW-Stevens Point in WIAC semifinal

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- The UW-Eau Claire volleyball team is back in the WIAC tournament final after their impressive 3-1 win over UW-Stevens Point in the semifinal Thursday night.

Tied at one set a piece, the Blugolds faced 5 set points in a crucial 3rd set, but came back to win 29-27. That wasn't the only time Eau Claire had their backs to the wall: they trailed 23-18 in the 1st and roared back to win 26-24.

Led by WIAC Offensive Player of the Year, Madelyn Pashibin with 18 kills, the top-seeded Blugolds will host 2nd seed UW-Whitewater in the WIAC tournament final on Saturday night at McPhee. First serve will be at 7pm.
