Packers-Vikings tailgating: who does it better?

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A rivalry 115 games in the making: the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings. The Pack has the edge in the series, but who takes the cake when it comes to tailgating?

“Look at this guy! He’s ready to go! We’re ready to go!” Nick Erickson, a Packers fan from Kenosha yelled to his friend before Sunday's matchup against the Vikings.

“100% the Packers fans every single time,” Shane Hayes from Appleton makes a strong case for the Green and Gold. “I mean, come on! Look at this place (Lambeau Field). It’s wonderful. If you’re not from here, you gotta be here every single Sunday. It’s just beautiful here.”

As did the governor of the Cheese State.

“There’s just no comparison. This stuff with tailgating,” Scott Walker said. “You got cheese curds, you got beer, you got brats. You even run into a couple Viking fans. We told them we hope people are treating them well, we just hope they don’t go home happy.”

“I give them a high five and a wave and they don’t know what hit them,” A Packers fan with a '4 Time Champion' Packers foam hand said. “I’m looking for one for the thumb, Aaron, one for the thumb.”

Lifelong friends and a lifelong rivalry.

“Best friends for 30 years,” Kory Frederick from Des Moines said about his friendship with Spencer Cline. “Diehard Packers fan, diehard Vikings fan. This is the best party town, supporting both teams, no problems, they love us, we love them. You wouldn’t want to come to any other game unless it’s Minnesota itself.”

On the field, purple and green battle. Off the field, nothing but love.

“They are welcoming,” Frederick said. “You look at all the purple around here. We party together. There’s never any problems. If you’ve never seen a game, you have to come to Titletown.”

Kory’s not wrong. Not much can beat it.
