Romanski earns spot on AP DIII All-America 2nd Team

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire football's Sam Romanski (Jr. – Wausau, WI/East) has earned a spot on the Associated Press Division III All-America Second Team.

The junior linebacker led the Blugolds with 59 tackles and led the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) in sacks with 14.5 and tackles for loss with 17.5. In addition, Romanski ranked third in the country in total sacks and 15th in tackles for a loss.

Romanski was also named to the D3football.com All-Region First Team and to the All-WIAC First Team. He is the program's first All-American since Paul Santi in 2013, who was named D3football.com All-America Honorable Mention.

The Blugolds finished the season at 4-6, the most wins since 2012.
