APPLETON, Wis. (WEAU) -- The Webster baseball team is on to the WIAA Div. 3 state title game after their dominating 14-8 win over Kenosha St. Joseph in the state semifinal game.

Last year, there was heartbreak one game away from the championship game for the Webster Tigers. This year, they're bringing home some hardware, win or lose.

The Tigers got one on the board in the first and exploded for 5 runs in the 3rd, 3 in both the 4th and 5th innings to put this game out of reach. Senior, Hunter Gustafson, had 5 hits on the afternoon to go along with 4 RBI. Another Hunter, pitcher Hunter Rosenbaum, went the distance for the Tigers allowing them to have a full bullpen in the championship game on Wednesday afternoon.

Webster will face St. Mary Catholic in the game for gold at noon at Fox Cities Stadium in Grand Chute.
