Drivers got to rev their engines and do a little racing at the Chippewa Valley Technical College Sunday. The Chippewa Valley Sports Car Club helped put on the CVTC Grand Prix West Autocross.
About 70 drivers got the chance to take their cars on the course to compete against the clock. There wasn't any paint swapping but racers got to compete for bragging rights with the top time. It cost $30 to enter a car into the race with the money going to CVTC auto body classes and scholarships.
A few familiar faces from WEAU showed up for the event including: Sarah Stokes, Chris Herzog, Nate Larscheid and Ashley Baylor. Nate Larscheid took 3rd overall and was the fastest from WEAU with a time of 31.5 seconds.
