Car bursts into flames in Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A dramatic scene in Eau Claire Sunday as a car erupts in flames.

No one was hurt, but the vehicle is a total loss.

According to police, a woman was driving on London Road when she saw smoke coming out of the hood of her car.

She pulled into the parking lot of a strip mall, and shortly after the car started on fire.

Firefighters quickly responded and managed to put the fire out in about 15 minutes.

They say the cause of the fire was a mechanical issue with the car.
