EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)- After a lengthy discussion the Eau Claire County Board reaffirmed its pledge of $3.5 million to the Confluence Project.

In a 21 to 5 vote Tuesday night the board reaffirmed its pledge to the performing arts center.

The vote comes after the board conditionally pledged $3.5 million based on state funding of $25 million.

The state is now only giving $15 million in the form of the non-state agency grant.

As part of the agreement, the stakeholders must provide evidence of $15 million from fundraising and other public and private sources. They must also prove long-term operational sustainability.
