DEVELOPING: Body recovered from St. Croix River near Stillwater

STILLWATER, Minn. (KARE) The Washington County Sheriff's Office says a body has been found along the St. Croix River, just north of downtown Stillwater.

The name of the person has not yet been released.

Authorities say no further information will be released until Monday, May 4.

In the early afternoon of May 2nd, 2015, a body was located on the St. Croix river, just north of downtown Stillwater. Both the Stillwater Police Department and the Washington County Sheriff's Office assisted in the retrieval of the body. Identification of the body will be done by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office after family notification has been made. There will be no further press releases or statements from the Washington County Sheriff's Office until Monday, May 4th, 2015.
