Eau Claire (WEAU) - Republican Congressman Sean Duffy announced he's running for reelection Thursday.
He currently represents the 7th Congressional district.
After making the announcement in Woodville, he stopped at WEAU and told us that he believes more taxes and regulations isn't the answer to the unemployment problem.
"This is all about kick starting the economy and putting people back to work, and when you have incredible new taxes and you have all these new regulations, if makes it difficult for those job creators to be competitive," Duffy said.
We contacted Democrat Pat Kreitlow, who has announced he is running against Duffy he said, "if a bi-partisan deal is not worked out, taxes will go up for all Americans.
"Sean Duffy has not expressed interest in working out a bi-partisan deal that will prevent the country from going over the fiscal cliff he's steering us toward," Krietlow said.
