STRUM, Wis. (WEAU) -- October is Manufacturing Month and State Superintendent Dr. Tony Evers says a great way to honor that is by visiting Cardinal Manufacturing program.

The program is Eleva-Strum High School's student-run manufacturing business.

Evers toured the facility to see new upgrades and equipment and added that the program is a great unique way to celebrate manufacturing month.

"Cardinal Manufacturing is viewed as one of the Cadillacs in advanced manufacturing training and education in the state of Wisconsin," Evers said to WEAU 13 News on Tuesday.

Also while visting, Evers honored advisor and teacher of the program with the 2015-2016 Rural Teacher of the Year Award.
