Fire causes extensive damage to barn near Augusta

AUGUSTA, Wis. (WEAU)-- Crews were able to save several cattle after a barn caught fire near Augusta Friday.

It happened around 11:30 a.m. at a milking farm on Pettis Road in the Town of Bridge Creek.

Osseo Fire Chief, Nels Gunderson, says crews were able to get almost all the cattle out of the barn, but one or two were lost.

The fire caused extensive damage. There's no word yet what caused the fire. No one was hurt.

Augusta, Osseo, Fall Creek, Fairchild and Eleva Fire Departments all responded to the fire.
