Fire destroys semi north of Black River Falls

BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) -- Fire destroyed a semi in a foggy area north of Black River Falls.

The Black River Falls Fire Department responded to the fire around 6:30 a.m. Friday. Crews found the semi tractor heavily damaged near Kenny Road. A person nearby told investigators that he was on his way to work and noticed the fire as he drove by. There were no injuries reported. The owner of the property and the owner of the semi were not at the scene.

There's no word on what caused the fire, or a damage estimate. The semi is insured. A trailer hooked up to the semi did not appear damaged.
