Funeral services set for Bloomer teacher killed in crash

BLOOMER, Wis. (WEAU)-- Funeral services have been set for a Bloomer teacher killed in a crash over the weekend.

Deputies say 32-year old Derek Thompson died in a two car crash Saturday night.

According to the Bloomer School District, Thompson was a father of two and had been working in the district for four years.

The crash happened on Highway 64, northeast of Bloomer.

Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Schriver-Thompson Funeral Home, a funeral will be held at 3 pm this Sunday in the Bloomer High School gym.
