EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)-- A local baseball league for kids with disabilities just got a big gift to help get the program get up and running.

Tuesday, Goodwill North Central Wisconsin donated $100,000 to the Miracle League of the Chippewa Valley.

The league gives teens and children with disabilities the chance to play baseball in a non-competitive environment.

The program plans to build a new baseball field at Jeffers Park that is more accessible for those with disabilities.

The league says it is grateful for goodwill's generosity.

"We really appreciate Goodwill North Central Wisconsin kicking off our capital campaign to get the field built for the youth in our area," says Nick White with Miracle League.

The league hopes to start construction on the new field late this summer.
