EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A local law office is helping out kids who are placed in the foster care system.

Staff and family members of the Richie, Wickstrom and Wachs Law Office in Eau Claire put together special duffel bags and suitcases Tuesday.

They filled them with items like pajamas and toiletries.

They will be donated to the Kids Kloset of Eau Claire Lutheran Social Services.

Lawyer John Richie says it's all about making things better for the kids.

"As far as the kids themselves, let's not make a bad situation worse, let's give them some clean clothes, lets help them with some school supplies so we can get these kids feeling better about themselves and try to get them off on the right foot."

Donations for the project can be dropped off during business hours at Lutheran Social Services on Clairemont Avenue or mailed.
