UPDATE: Names released in fatal I-94 rollover

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)- The Wisconsin State Patrol has released the names of those involved in a crash on I-94 in Eau Claire County that killed a 16-year-old boy.

Troopers say 16-year-old Kevin Messer from Plymouth, MN was killed.

The 16-year-old driver and a 15-year old passenger were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies do not believe alcohol is a factor in the crash.

All of them were wearing seat belts.

The Wisconsin State Patrol has released more information about a crash that killed a 16-yr. old boy from Minnesota.

It happened around 7:15pm Friday on Interstate-94, just southeast of Eau Claire.

Deputies say a 16-year old girl from Minnesota was driving east-bound, when she veered onto the shoulder.

She tried to regain control, but the car rolled and ended up in the median.

Deputies say a 16-yr. old passenger from Plymouth, MN was killed.

The driver and and another passenger, a 15-yr. old boy, also from Plymouth, MN, have non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies do not believe alcohol is a factor in the crash.

All of them were wearing seat belts.

One person is dead after a rollover crash on I-94 in Eau Claire County.

The Wisconsin State Patrol says it happened just after 7 PM in Washington Township.

Troopers say three people were in the vehicle which rolled over. One person was fatally injured.

The other two occupants were also injured and transported from the scene by ambulance.

The crash remains under investigation by Wisconsin State Patrol personnel. The names of those involved are not being released.
