CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) -- The Packers Tailgate Tour is making its way through Wisconsin, and it's also making some surprise pit-stops along the way.

The tour stopped at the Veterans Home in Chippewa Falls this afternoon, giving veterans there quite the surprise.

Tour members answered questions, and played games and other activities with residents and staff.

Packers team member Casey Hayward says it's great to be able to hang out with the fans, both young and old.

"Everybody tends to look up to athletes, but I look up to some of the veteran guys, because we wouldn't be there without those guys, you know, and it's a special opportunity coming to talk to them, and you know and interact with these guys and women," said Hayward.

Some of the players both past and present are on the tour include Andrew Quarless, Micah Hyde, Gilbert Brown and Jerry Kramer.
