Eau Claire Police release surveillance video from Subway armed robbery

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) Police have released new surveillance video of an armed robbery at an Eau Claire restaurant.

The robbery happened Monday night, just before 9:30, at the Subway on Eddy Lane.

Police say a man with a black handgun went into the store and hit an employee. No shots were fired and no one else was in the restaurant at the time.

The suspect got away before police arrived on the scene. Officers do not know if he left on foot or in a vehicle.

His identity was concealed, but police hope someone with information will come forward.
