EAU CLAIRE COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) -- A level three sex offender, who police say cut off his GPS tracking bracelet, will spend the next three years in prison.

Scott Olson, 43, was sentenced on Tuesday in Eau Claire County.

After the prison time, Olson will also be on extended supervision for two years.

He was found guilty of second degree recklessly endangering safety and fleeing an officer.

In December of 2013 he cut off his GPS, and when police tried to stop him, he took off.

He was later found and arrested.
