WEAU 13 is on the air on 18.3 & 25.2, Charter Cable 6 and in HD on 606

FAIRCHILD (WEAU) - Following tower collapse, WEAU's fellow broadcasters have offered extensive help, and now we are back on television. We are over the air at 18.3 thanks to WQOW which is now in HD.

We have had some viewers say they've struggled to find 18.3 on their digital boxes. We suggest running a completely new channel scan to find the station.

Charter Cable has us back up on channel 6 and in HD on 606.

Alos, WEAU is up in La Crosse on 25.2 over the air, thanks to Fox 25/48.

WEAU is also back up and running on Dish Network and DirecTV. But only on the SD channel.

24/7 Weather is also now available on on Charter 247. and ONLY availlable there. 13.2 is unavailable and will not be back online for the time being.

WEAU will continue to LIVE STREAM the following newscasts, as we always have: TODAY, Noon and 5pm.

As our viewers know, our transmitting tower in Fairchild has collapsed.

It happened Tuesday night. The tower, which stood 2,000 feet in eastern Eau Claire County, is now only about 25 feet tall.

A large portion of the structure fell in three different directions, with part of it blocking County Road H.

No one was hurt and there’s no official word on what caused the collapse.

Along with WQOW and Charter Cable, WEAU also would like to thank other local broadcasters, WXOW, WKBT and FOX 25-48 for their support.
