EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)—UW –Eau Claire hosted a rededication ceremony at the priory in Eau Claire Thursday afternoon.

During the ceremony, the former monastery chapel was named Benedictine Hall in honor of the sisters of the order of Saint Benedict.

The UW-Eau Claire foundation purchased the priory to build their new children's center, the Children's Nature Academy.

The associate dean of students for UW-Eau Claire says it was a day to celebrate the history of the building, while letting people see what it now offers for kids.

UW-Eau Claire and the foundation are exploring a range of options for the university's use of the rest of the priory facilities.
