EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Fire crews put out a van fire at a gas station in Eau Claire. The car was parked away from the gas pumps, near the sidewalk, fire crews said.

Eau Claire Fire Battalion Chief Bryon Benson said the fire was self-dispatched by the fire station across the street from the Mobil Gas Station on Patton Street.

He said the driver pulled into the parking lot due to mechanical error.

The fire was put out by crews with foam and it was blocked around the storm drain. WRR was called in to help with the cleanup, he said.

No one was hurt and two fire engines along with an ambulance were at the scene.
