Grinnell's Taylor named to All-Central Region Team

GRINNELL, Iowa (GRINNELL ATHLETICS) -- For the second year in a row, Grinnell College’s Jack Taylor ’15 has been named to the All-Region Men’s Basketball Team.

Taylor, also a first-team All-Midwest Conference selection, was named to the All-Central Region second team.

Taylor, a 5-10, 165-pound guard from Black River Falls, Wis. (Black River Falls), led the nation in scoring last season and did so again in 2014-15 with 28.4 points per game. He was also tops in 3-pointers with 5.04 a contest and total points with 709 while ranking second in free throws made with 185.

He ranked second in the MWC in free throw percentage at 87.3 percent.

The Central Region Player of the Year is Quardell Young of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, while the Rookie of the Year is Tim Robertson of Dominican. Bob Semling of UW-Stevens Point was tabbed Coach of the Year.
