Hilltoppers ready for tough match-up with Pepin/Alma

The Glenwood City Hilltoppers hope to continue their playoff run this Saturday as they will hit the road to take on Pepin/Alma in level three of the WIAA football playoffs.

The Hilltoppers have rolling on offense in the playoffs...Scoring 54 points in their level one victory over Turtle Lake and then 46 points last week in their win over Clayton in level 2.
This week they are ready for a tough test from Pepin/Alma.

Coach Shane Strong:

"I think we'll see a little bit different style football than we did against Clayton. Clayton was a very wide open team, very skilled. Pepin/Alma is very physical like we are. Two very solid running backs, a nice solid line and they're very well coached and disciplined so similar to like what we are. I think they'll try to come right at us like we do them.

Austin Moe:
"this is driving the whole team, not just the seniors. Everybody wants to be a state champion, everybody wants to be the best in our division. It's driving the whole team. We're all striving for excellence out here."
