Pedestrian killed in crash in St. Croix Co.

HUDSON, Wis. (WEAU) - A man was killed when he was struck by a truck on County Road North on Wednesday evening.

On Jan. 31 around 5:45 p.m., 39-year-old Jason Asp of Hudson, Wis., was hit by a truck and killed on County Road North near Baker Road in Hudson.

According to a news release from the St. Croix Sheriff’s Office, it received a call that a pedestrian had been hit. When deputies arrived, they found Asp lying in the roadway and performed lifesaving measures.

Asp was taken by ambulance to Regions hospital where he was pronounced dead.

From evidence at the scene, it appears Asp was walking near the center of the road on County Road North when he was hit.

The crash remains under investigation.
