Maiden Rock man arrested for suspicion of OWI after crash

MONDOVI, Wis. (WEAU) - A Maiden Rock man was arrested in Mondovi for suspicion of OWI after a crash Sunday morning.

According to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office, first responders received reports from a passerby on U.S. Highway 10 near Mock Road around 4:40 a.m. The passerby said they saw a man covered in blood walking in the middle of the road with a vehicle in the ditch nearby.

The driver, 32-year-old Abraham Fick, is believed to have crossed the centerline and hit the guard rail on the vehicle. Fick is then believed to have overcorrected, crossing the centerline again and rolling his vehicle over. No one else was in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

Fick was arrested for suspicion of OWI - 1st offense and taken to the hospital for his injuries.
