Xcel customers to see 15% increase in natural gas prices
WISCONSIN (WEAU) - Xcel Energy said customers can expect to see a 15% increase in their natural gas prices.
According to an email from Xcel Energy, they say the average Wisconsin residential natural gas customer will see their monthly bills increase by about 15% compared to last winter (from $112.08 to $128.72).
Of that increase, 8% is due to the higher cost of natural gas, which is paid directly by customers without any markup from Xcel Energy and 7% is due to increased infrastructure and other costs from Xcel Energy.
Xcel Energy, in partnership with Focus on Energy, offers incentives and rebates that customers can use to make their homes and businesses more efficient. Find more information at xcelenergy.com/Residential or xcelenergy.com/Business.

All tribal member customers are also eligible. For more information, to confirm your eligibility and to schedule your free energy assessment, email wifreeassessments@xcelenergy.com.
We make a concerted effort to encourage income-qualified customers to participate in all types of energy assistance programs. In 2024, about 16,500 customers in Wisconsin received more than $9.4 million in assistance for their energy bills.
