Silver Screen Spotlight: “Toy Story 5,” “The Death of Robin Hood,” and “Leviticus” out this week

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - There are three new releases this week, including “Toy Story 5.”

The Toy Story gang is back in a new topical tale. When Bonnie gets a new Lilypad tablet, her toys are suddenly forgotten. Can they reign victoriously over beloved screentime? Rated PG, “Toy Story 5” is playing at Micon Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, and the Oakwood Mall.

Hugh Jackman stars in A24’s “The Death of Robin Hood.” A so-called hero attempts to change his ways and protect a young girl in the process. Also starring Jodie Comer (“Killing Eve”), “The Death of Robin Hood” is playing in Chippewa Falls and at the Oakwood Mall.

Also out this week is Australian horror movie “Leviticus.” Two young men must grapple with their attraction to each other, an unaccepting community, and a supernatural threat. It world-premiered in January at the Sundance Film Festival and stars Joe Bird (“Talk to Me”). Rated R, “Leviticus” is screening exclusively at Micon Oakwood Mall.

It’s week three of the summer kids’ series. Last year’s “How to Train Your Dragon” live-action movie is playing at the Oakwood Mall on Monday and Tuesday, and “Clifford the Big Red Dog” is at Micon Chippewa Falls on Wednesday and Thursday. Tickets are just $2.

The Micon Downtown Cinema is temporarily closed.
