Silver Screen Spotlight: Action movie “Motor City” out this week

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - An action movie with an interesting gimmick is hitting Micon Cinemas this weekend.

It’s another week with only one new release at Micon Cinemas. Alan Ritchson stars in the dialogue-free “Motor City.” Set in Detroit, the action flick follows a man, John (Ritchson), who’s been horribly wronged. Having spent time in jail and lost his girl (Shailene Woodley), John’s looking to get even. Rated R, “Motor City” is playing at Micon Chippewa Falls and the Oakwood Mall.

Tickets are on sale now for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” out next week. Tom Holland and Zendaya star.

And it’s a new week, which means new titles screening at Micon Oakwood Mall and Chippewa Falls as part of the summer kids’ series. This week at Oakwood is “Clifford the Big Red Dog,” playing Monday and Tuesday. In Chippewa Falls is the new live-action “How to Train Your Dragon” movie on Wednesday and Thursday. Tickets are just $2.

The Micon Downtown Cinema is temporarily closed due to smoke damage.
