Jorge Huerta

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - Jorge Huerta is truly deserving of recognition through the WEAU Sunshine Award for his extraordinary dedication to the youth and families of Western Wisconsin. As a leader within the Chippewa Valley Patriots Baseball and Softball organization, Jorge volunteers hundreds of hours each year organizing youth tournaments and creating opportunities for boys and girls to compete, grow, and build lifelong friendships. His impact extends far beyond the field, as he helps foster teamwork, confidence, sportsmanship, and a sense of community for countless young athletes and their families. Jorge does all of this without seeking recognition or praise. He simply wants to see the joy on the faces of children as they play the game they love and create lasting memories with their teammates. Despite balancing a full-time job and raising three children of his own, Jorge remains committed to serving others and strengthening our community every day. He is the definition of an unsung hero, and the positive difference he makes in the lives of local families makes him a worthy recipient of the WEAU Sunshine Award.
