We’re waking up to some filtered sunshine out there as we seen some decay with our cloud shield from departing low pressure. The sunshine will be short-lived, however, as an upper trough migrates eastward. Along with this feature, northwesterly winds will pick up, adding a slight wind chill factor to the air. Temperatures will struggle to get into the upper 20s with the colder airmass, so a few degrees below average. The aforementioned trough will move in later tonight. Limited moisture could produce a few flurries, but chances remain incredibly low.

We'll tap into some partial sunshine Saturday afternoon as northwesterly breezes remain.

Canadian high pressure will track south into Sunday and Monday, allowing for a colder overnight and Sunday as lows drop into the single digits and daytime highs remain confined to the low 20s. Sunday will also be the breeziest of the next few days, with the high situated further north and low pressure to our southeast. Behind the trough, ridging will build back into the area beginning late Sunday and into Monday, though northwesterly flow out ahead of the previously mentioned area of surface high pressure will keep temperatures stunted into the 20s for the beginning of the week. As the high moves east, return flow will ensue, allowing for a return to the mid 30s by Tuesday with ridging flattening out a bit. A weak wave riding the upper-level flow/low pressure could touch off a few flurries Tuesday and into Wednesday before activity shuts off behind a cold front later Wednesday. There is some agreement in another wave on Thursday, but mostly cloudy to partly cloudy skies will prevail. If you’re a fan of more mild weather, the 40s could return by the end of the week.
