Katie Kuenkel

Katie Kuenkel is the host of Morning Connection. A native of Cumberland, Wisconsin and a journalism graduate from UW-Eau Claire in 1999, Katie joined WEAU in 2009 as the host of Moms Everyday. Prior to that, she was actually a sales intern for a summer at WEAU back in the late 90s while attending UW-Eau Claire! Katie has always had a love for the news and the Chippewa Valley! She has lived in the Eau Claire area for over 20 years with her high school sweetheart, four kids, and two dogs. There is no place she'd rather be! Katie enjoys meeting many new people from the Chippewa Valley as part of her role on Morning Connection. In her spare time, Katie enjoys walking outdoors, water-skiing, reading, and attending all of her kids' sporting events.
