Evers visited Eau Claire North High School after State of the State address
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - Governor Tony Evers kicked off a statewide tour to promote his agenda for the final months he’s in office.
The tour included a stop at Eau Claire North High School on Wednesday afternoon.
Evers says his priorities include lowering costs for working families, bolstering public health resources and allocating more state funding for struggling public schools.
“School districts are going to referendum every other year, for just general stuff. That’s not right. It’s not that they are overspending, they are responding to the needs of the kids. I think we need to do some things there too, especially in equalization aid,” said Evers.
Evers’ visit comes on the heels of his final State of the State address.
