LA CROSSE COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) - One of the men found guilty of murdering three people and leaving their bodies at a quarry east of Holmen in 2021 was sentenced to life in prison today.
Court documents show that 46-year-old Khamthaneth Rattanasack received a life sentence today in connection to a triple homicide that happened in La Crosse County in July of 2021.
Last October he pleaded guilty to three counts of first-degree intentional homicide as a party to a crime and felon in possession of a firearm as a repeat offender as a party to a crime.
His life sentence is credited 223 days and he is eligible to request extended supervision in 35 years.
Rattanasack is one of two men charged in the killings of 24-year-olds Peng Lor and Nemo Yang and 23-year-old Trevor Maloney, who were found dead at Romskog Quarry in the Town of Hamilton, located about 15 miles northeast of La Crosse, on July 23, 2021, at 4:57 a.m.
A man who knew the victims and one of the suspects told investigators that the dispute was over about $600 that one of the suspects believed was owed to him by one of the victims.
